Thanksgiving morning - and the Fairchild kitchen was buzzing with activity. Auntie Trish came up from New York (we thank the crazy lady who had the run in with the cops for delaying Trish's bus in time for Trish to make it to Port Authority) to spend the day, and Rangy and Pop-Pop and Auntie DeeDee came up as well. Amy spent most of Wednesday cooking and cleaning, and Thursday morning was no different.
Except for the fact that Amy had some help in the kitchen - Trish was a whiz with everything, including (of all things) some phenominal turkey carving!
And while Amy and Trish slaved away, Pop-Pop showed his prowess in the always difficult "shrimp dipping" exercise. Actually, Dad did some serious work in the kitchen as well - cooking up some delicious turnip.
Meanwhile, the girls were just hanging around. No - I mean it - literally "hanging around".
