One day when we were at the doctor's, and stuck in the waiting room, the girls began to get ornery. So, instead of letting them wreck the waiting room, I asked for some paper and pens from the receptionist - she gave me some pencils instead, and the girls really loved them. So, we bought the girls a nice box of colored pencils to go along with their crayons and coloring pads. And they were a big hit!
They really enjoy writing with them - all except for the white one - they can't figure out why that one doesn't work...
But, of course, pencils aren't only for coloring on paper. They are also good for sticking in your ears.

Okay, now they are lobotomizing themselves and eating the pencils. Time to drop the camera and rescue them from themselves...
